I enjoy working with children, teens, and adults and becoming part of their health team—walking beside them and developing an individualized treatment plan to address mental health concerns.
I believe in offering both medication and non-medication strategies. I approach care holistically by assessing emotional, social, spiritual, and physical needs. Everyone’s path to healing is different, and I hope to become a part of your journey toward improved your or child’s overall health.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, being in nature, and walking my dog.
Jennifer brings her expertise from her nursing experience as an RN in various settings to her years of working in primary care as a FNP which lead her to further her education to deepen her knowledge in psychiatry and pursue certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. This expanded her expertise in treating anxiety, ADHD, depression, behavioral concerns related to autism, and mood disorders across the lifespan. She takes the extra time with her patients and educates them on coping strategies. She describes mental health as a journey like a turtle and not a race but resilient like a birch tree that seeks out a water source. She is committed to working towards the treatment goals which improves the overall wellbeing of you or your child through a holistic approach.

Jennifer has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2009 and worked in pediatric primary care for 15 years.
Teaching future clinicians
Jennifer serves as a preceptor to nurse practitioner students, helping support the next generation of providers.
Invested in the community
Birchwood remains present in the community by providing education on varying mental health concerns through collaboration with the town nurse at the Seekonk Human Services. Birchwood was also one of the sponsors at the Seekonk National Night Out.
