What to expect after the first visit?
On the first visit, we will meet for about 1-1.5 hours via telehealth or in person. Together we explore your concerns and get to know you holistically and not just by your “symptoms”. Our first goal is to start building a trusting patient-practitioner relationship.
During the comprehensive psychiatric assessment, we will review what you are experiencing and begin to form a treatment plan with goals.
I specialize in evaluating and treating children, teens and adults with anxiety, depression, attention/focus issues (ADHD), mood swings, school avoidance and behavioral issues related to autism.

Follow Up Appointments
After the initial visit we will meet together to discuss how you have been since we last met. We will discuss the recommendations that are working well and those we need to make changes to. This could include discussing medication, lab work, or holistic interventions.
These visits are time based which gives you a choice. 20-minute and 30-minute sessions are more focused, these are generally for those that may be already meeting with a therapist and we are addressing medication and holistic interventions only. 45-minute sessions are extended visits for more complex care.
Each individual treatment plan is different but the frequency of visits generally range from every two weeks to every 1-3 months. We will discuss this and decide together.
Communication Between Appointments
Our patients love that we are available for communication between appointments to address concerns that may come up. Many of our patients that take medication feel at ease knowing that they can communicate any changes with us and receive a prompt answer. Patient portal messages and calls are generally returned within 1-3 business days.
